I'm a size 7 and I ordered the medium. With the ankle elastic the pant fit like a balloon. Plenty of room needless to say so I exchanged for the small. The same effect with the ankle elastic and less room in the waist. Big differance between sizes. I liked the option of on/off quickness with the zippered/velcro sides but they would be much better if the design were straight legged. Overall concept is great but product was far below expectations.

Although the pants are very well made, they were not a good fit for me. The waist was perfect but they were tight in the hips and thigh, so it was impossible for me to layer for the colder weather. If I order the next size, the waist will be miles too big. I bought these pants for hiking and walking in the rain. The best features are the zip sides, for easy on-off access with hiking boots. They are also very lightweight.

Wanted a pair of waterproof pants for the rainy dog walking mornings. I don't need high tech ski gear, or other outdoor wear. I wanted them to be inexpensive. I am not sure how well these will function as I have not had the opportunity to wear them in the rain yet. They don't seem waterproof. They are only nylon. They are lightweight, but if water seeps through, I will be unhappy.

I ride my bike to work and these pants are perfect. Doubt I'll wear them in Iowa winters for warmth, but they're great to keep dry in.

I am 5'3" and the length on these pants were ok. They are also fairly roomy so some might find them a bit larger than they expect. However, I was able to get a few layers under them and go for a long walk in -30C weather. They provided a great wind layer and I stayed warm. I didnt play in the snow with them or use them for running yet but I would think they would be great for any outdoor sport. On the downside, they are a "loud" fabric and you can easily hear crinkling sounds when you move.
