Sierra Designs Kilo Jacket - Polarguard® Insulation (For Women)

Very nice jacket. It is exactly as advertised.

Love the jacket,it's light and yet warm to wear. The downside is surface material seems a little fragile, I was afraid it would not be rugged enough for my original intended use, which was snowshoeing in the wood nearby my home.

I'm an active outdoor person looking for a down alternative that keeps me warm in the woods and on campus. While I love Sierra Designs, the short collar and sloped shoulders of this coat made me look and feel like a turtle emerging from its shell. I sized up initially, on the advice of many reviews. At 5'4 and 125 lbs it fit far too loosely. The small, alas, did too.

I needed a less bulky, but warm outer layer for commuting. This was a good deal, so decided to try it out. Was suprised at the warmth, even though it isn't a bulky coat. Is fairly water resistant, which I was happy to see.

I really love this coat! It feels really light, but it is very warm and comfortable. It is great to wear around town, as it is not bulky and uncomfortable for running errands, being in the car. I did end up ordering a size larger than I normally wear because it is somewhat fitted and I wanted to be able to wear layers underneath, and I am glad I did so. I have worn this in 0 degree weather without getting cold, and 50 degree weather without getting hot so it is versatile for a wide range of temperatures. I am so happy with this coat and highly recommend it.

Attractive coat, and nice fabric and color, however the fit was awkward. I ordered a medium and normally wear a small/medium in tops and jackets. I found the shoulders tight, and the bottom of the jacket too roomy. Had to return.

I love this jacket!

The jacket has a snug fit, so can't wear over a sweater, but it's warm enough I don't need sweaters. Can wear regular shirts and still stay warm without a huge bulky jacket. Wish it was about 1 or 2 inches longer, though... just a touch too short. But otherwise it's great and I'm enjoying wearing it every day.

I love this coat. I've worn it through two (cold!) Maine winters and it will most certainly get me through a third. I'm considering buying another to have as a back-up. Only downfall is if I wear a bulky sweater the zipper sometimes splits at the bottom. Could just be normal wear and tear. If you do like lots of layers it may be a good idea to buy the next size up.
