It packs down to almost nothing so takes up very little space in a suitcase while adding virtually no weight. He likes that it doesn't have a hood because he rarely wears anything on his head and doesn't like having the bulk of a hood.     I like the red color, the bears will think I am a popsicle! The extra large is a bit too big to keep out some drafts(I wear an xtra large t shirt- broad shoulders and chest) but choices were limited, and it will be fine.
