This is a great jacket. Good design. Attractive. Great weight if you are looking for more than a shell, but less than a parka. The weight will allow you to eliminate a layer. In cold conditions, just go heavier on mid layer. In mild conditions, go light or eliminate mid layer. Very versatile....

This jacket has a good 3-season weight to it. On it's own in the dead of winter it would probably be too light, but over a fleece or other insulating piece it's great. There are some stitching/finishing flaws I've noted, and the outer fabric can be a bit noisy compared to similar offerings from Patagonia, Marmot, etc., but at the sale price it is hard to beat. Buy it understanding its limitations and you'll be pleased.

Everything about this jacket was perfect for a good cold weather shell to wear at the area. Only problem was the sizing. Order down a size: I typically wear a med, and it swallowed me !! I picked up a small and it was perfect.
