Simms flats sneaker is a well built wading boot. Light color and sole. Sturdy in the ankle. Great for coral, reefs, backcountry, unknown fishing adventures. Probably overkill if you're going on a guided trip from a flats boat. Kayaking or canoeing back in the swamps? You betcha. Going to Mexico or the Bahamas DIY? Sure. Jetty hopping? Not so much.

I bought a pair of these boots for me and my son at full retail price and love them. They are somewhat stiffer than freshwater boots because of the toughness of the materials used for the upper aspect of the boot and this is to guard against ray stings or other sharp objects in the water. Simms makes great products and this is no exception. When I saw these on sale at STP I bought a pair for my wife and another backup pair for myself. Only then did I write this glowing review.
