Reviewed by CarpontheflyNC from North Carolina on Friday, March 01, 2013I now own 5 of these Simms Microfiber caps (in various colors to blend in with everything from tropical flats to rhododendron-clogged smoky mountain streams and the sheer rock walls of the Gunnison), because I am afraid that I will lose one and not be able to find a similar replacement. Unfortunately, I've already sacrificed one to the fish gods in Hawaii. These hats are that great. The material is super-lightweight, wicks sweat away efficiently, and the venting helps keep your head cool even in 100-degree heat on the flats. This is infinitely better than a cotton fishing hat and the wicking design means these hats continue to look great for years without becoming so sweat-stained that your wife relegates them to use only on fishing trips where she isn't around. I cannot recommend these hats highly enough and have retired all of my other Simms, Orvis, and other fishing hats collected over the years.
