I ordered this in a child's large size as a lighter option to my 5yo daughter's small Giro Remedy, and it certainly is lighter by a few ounces, but it was way too small. It ended up being my 2 1/2 year old's new helmet, which is barely big enough and will unlikely last until next summer. Also, the D-ring closure is impossible for a 2, or even 5-year old to do by themselves, so it does not give them the independence that the snap-buckle on the Giro did. But overall, for <$50 this is a very nice helmet for my 2yo that protects him well on his bike and his razor.

The helmet came quickly and looked great. It even comes with a bag to carry the helmet when not in use. But the sizes are off. This helmet was too small and tight on my 6 yr olds head. I measured as instructed and his head should fit. There is only one size to order so the helmet was returned and I ended up getting a helmet elsewhere.

My 6 year old daughter is wearing the large and it fits great, which surprised me. Consider buying one size larger than you would normally expect.
