I am a true womens 8 1/2 in shoes, and I'm relatively wide through the ball of the foot. The 6 fit me in length, and the width was good, but they still felt sloppy because the instep ran so big. I ended up sending them back; just a bit too roomy for me. If you have a narrow foot these will be super sloppy. If you have a wider foot and a high instep, you will like these!
