Adequate sleeping mat for hiking

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this for snow camping and it looks as though it will do the trick. Its about an inch thick. It doesn't fold down as compactly as another I have and does not come with a stuff sack type bag. The straps and carry handle that did come with it are useless in terms of packing into a back pack. The sierra trading post cost of the item was irresistable.
