    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    bulky but not heavy. foam is comfortable but not sure how durable it would be. i prefer self inflating foam pads. this can be useful for somebody that is not concerned with space.

    I wanted something for backpacking, but this isn't it. It's way too bulky. It would work as a pad for a cot, but I already have one of those. I returned it.
