Verified Buyer Reviewed by Trout Bum from Lexington on Wednesday, December 14, 2016I love smartwool. I have been wearing these socks since 2005. They are a great sock especially at STP prices. However, this particular pair was purchased as part of a silly Santa gift, and came with the word "IRREGULAR" printed on both socks in bold print. [...]? The description said nothing about irregular. I am certainly disappointed that I can no longer include them as a gift. Sending back.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Tatertribe from Reno, NV on Thursday, November 26, 2015My feet stay nice and dry in these. I was honestly surprised because many manufacturers claim their things do this. These deliver. I will be buying a bunch more.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Carolyn from Montana on Wednesday, November 11, 2015I bought these socks for elk hunting in Montana. The temperature ranged from 14 degrees F to 45 degrees, and my feet stayed warm and drying the entire hunt. We rode horses every day into the hunting area, then hiked into position. The tall socks provided extra cushion from saddle rubs and did not slide down into my boots when hiking steep slopes. Although listed as "Snowboard Socks," the cushion and sock style is very versatile and you cannot beat merino wool for warmth and wicking.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Geoff from Connecticut on Thursday, March 19, 2015I love every SmartWool product I buy, and these socks are no exception. Comfortable.
Question & Answer
Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments or footwear due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you. The following buying guides may offer some insight to help you dress properly for any environment.
We do not have a specific reason why these are 2nds. Generally 2nds are due to minor cosmetic blemishes or irregularities which do not affect the fit, performance, or longevity of the item. Label is usually clipped by the manufacturer. A small flaw means big savings.
