They are as advertised and I have enjoyed wearing them right out of the box. I wanted durable slippers that I could wear to the mailbox if I wanted to and not worry about the soles taking a beating. I also love how soft and cute they are. Overall I am very satisfied and glad I found them at Sierra Trading Post.

I was hoping I could just "slip" them on to run out to the wood pile and scuff around in. But it is effortful to get them on for this application. I was also not sure I would like the color of the pair I had to order due to them being the only ones in my size...whah-whah...I sent them back. But Smartwool is reliably great quality!

They do seem to run a half size small; I wear a 5.5 and the size 6 fits perfect. The opening is stiff and harder to slip your foot into than a pair of slides, however I need support around the back of my heel, and after a few uses the opening has softened a bit and they are easier to get on now. There is NO arch support, and I do have high arches, so I've thought about adding an insert for a little extra support, but I've worn them around the house without problem. The soles are fairly thick for slippers, so if you wanted to wear these as shoes outside the house, you could - though I don't think they'd hold up in snow due to the fabric upper. I did notice the sole squeaking on our wood floors right out of the box, but that dissipated within an evening's wear. They are very warm, so if your feet sweat a lot that may be an issue.

I am normally a 6.5/7 so I ordered a 6. This shoe was WAY too small. Felt like I was trying to get my very narrow foot into a size 5. I couldn't even actually get my foot into the shoe because the heel does not flop down, but is very stiff at the back of the foot. I did not try a 7 because I felt that would be very small based on the 6 and the 8 was not in stock. This shoe is very cute and I really wanted it to work, but the sizing just wouldn't work out.
