I wear a size 9 shoe and I the size large fits well. I always air dry after washing to minimize the wool fibers from shrinking.

We usually buy sports related Smartwools - these were for my husband to wear to the office and he loves them! Soft, breathable, and you don't have to wash them as often - in fact, they last longer if you don't. Wool is self-cleaning for the most part.

They'd rate a 5 except the size runs a little small and they get fuzzy and pill after the first wash. However, they are so comfy that, despite their shortcomings, I ordered more!!
