This is a tough one- I'm 7.5 months pregnant, so I can't exactly say much about the fit! I was able to get the liner on, and the Chamios was comfortable and well placed (I tested it briefly on my bike). Comparing the outer shorts to my older MTB shorts, these are about an inch wider in the waist. It shouldn't be a problem, but something to be aware of when you purchase. Overall, I think this is a high quality product (much better than the Pearl Izumi's I bought last year). I can't wait to hit the trails with them.

A great idea, but could use some tweaking. They would allow better range of motion if the outer layer was made of a stretchable material. it would also accommodate muscular thighs, as i found the shorts a bit tight in the legs, since there are 2 layers. The padding is quite comfortable, but so much so as to compromise the look of the shorts. (Looks like I'm wearing a diaper!)I am keeping them for long rides and will probably cut slits in the legs of the outer layer to better allow free range of motion. They seem to be high quality, but i have only worn them once so far.

These shorts seem to be extremely durable and well built. Unfortunately, they didn't fit me well. I'm 5'6", 115 lbs and the small was too small, while the medium was too large. The padding was also a bit bulky for my liking. It comes up high in the back and is also quite wide. The inner short also took some extra tugging to get on correctly.

I have been searching for a pair of Mt bike shorts that fit well. The Smartwool Eweturn MTB shorts are the closest I've ever come. I want a short with a cycling short liner that fit well with good compression and the option to wear it w/out the outer short. I want the outer short to be loose and allow unrestricted movement on and off the trails. I want pockets, lot's of pockets to stow my gear. And I want them to look good too. The Eweturn shorts look good, and they have several pockets. The liner-short is held in place by two snaps so you can remove them, and the liner is substantial enough to wear on it's own. Sadly, the outer short fit(just) but they were stiff and didn't allow for much movement. I also wasn't a huge fan of the temperature regulation swatches across the back saddle of the short, makes then look very sports only. I was willing to overlook all of this for now since I have my "winter coat" lbs. I decided I would try the liners on the road bike to see if that Smartwool would give me a bit more warmth than my spandex does. Never made it there, I rinsed them out to make them "fresher"... I hung them outside in 75 degree weather (w/ 15% humidity) for 3 days before I gave up and threw thm in the dryer on low. I kid you NOT! I sent them back. So sad.
