SmartWool Eweturn MTB Shorts (For Women)

I'd use these shorts for mountain biking and spinning. The liner is very nice and the outer shorts stylish. xs is not a size 2-4 more like a 0-2.

These shorts fit me beautifully. The sizing fits a little smaller than the typical US size (think european sizes). I am small and had a really tough time finding cycling shorts that fit me well that aren't road cycling tights. The padding is great for bumpy terrain.

These shorts have a strange fit. Tight in the the thighs. I really wanted to like these shorts, but they fit wrong.

I've worn these with and without the baggies while mountain biking. I found they do not work too well together; the shorts seem to small and the liner seems to big. But I also don't generally like baggies, so maybe this is normal. I do like the liner and it is thick enough (not see-through) to wear by itself. At first the padding seemed too big and noisy! but it is fine now after wear and washing. The waist is a little bigger than I would have thought but I keep hiking up my shorts and carrying on. I love the wool. And the padding doesn't smell at ALL after a long ride. They must have some crazy padding technology!

These shorts are comfy, durable, and really cute! I thought the liner had just the right amount of padding and wicked away moisture so I didn't feel drenched. The shell is also great on it's own.

I really wanted these shorts to fit, but like all the other reviews report, they are too tight in the thighs (usually a bigger area for cyclists). The outer layer was constricting and difficult to lift the legs. It is s great idea to have wool as it breathes and doesn't get too stinky, but they just didn't fit.

These shorts are great. They have the perfect amount of padding.

The jury is still out on these, so I don't know if my review will help. I like the fit because I am tired of the tourniquet-tight waists of most bike shorts. I'm not an apple, but I am also not a curvy hourglass, either. I've only worn them three times in 50 degree weather, and they seem warm, but the way wool adjusts to conditions, I'm not ready to say they are only for warm weather. The poly bike short is a thick fleecy material, though. Very comfortable, but maybe not for summer. The chamois is thick, and seemed rough the first two rides, but felt better on the third. The medium fit me fine, though it's better with thinner bike shorts underneath. I am 5'7" and about 145 pounds. I think these are cute, and I prefer the brown to hot, hot black. Not sure if I'll take the inner shorts on my tour, but the outer ones will be considered. Oh, and so far, the outer shorts don't ride up like some others and they actually are cute on. BTW, I am going to experiment with an old pair of inner shorts by cutting out the middle of the pad. Why the manufacturers don't already do this for women is beyond me. If that works on the old pair, then I will do it with these, too. That would make the padding less . . . you know.

These shorts felt too weird when I tried them on. Huge padding, so maybe that's good, but big in the waist and pretty unattractive. They might be very functional, but I sent them back.

I wear a size 6 and the medium in these was way too tight. I could put them on, but they were super tight.I bought these for mountain biking because I LOVE SMARTWOOL products and the padding a qulity of these appeared to be good, but the fit was not. I returned them.
