SmartWool Hiking Liner Crew Socks - Merino Wool, Lightweight (For Men and Women)

Having just got these, I can't comment on durability. They can be used as dress socks as well as liners, if you don't mind the logo on top.

I purchased these socks to serve as dress socks. I am happy to report that they help keep my feet dry and happy, much more so than other socks I have tried. They have a nice dark black color to them and the Smartwool logo is high up enough to where it is not visible.

Because its' thin, doesn't wick well.

I wear for work 3 out 5 days a week. I have two pairs of thicker wool socks that are a little itchy not these, which are better. I bought 3 pair for myself and two for my girlfriend.

Since moving to warmer climes, my husband has completely steered away from cotton socks - this smartwool sock was a very nice alternative. The sock is thin enough to be worn in warm weather, and (as I like to wear socks) layers well with other pairs. I have purchased these socks from STP before in both closeout and irregular - be aware that the irregular version may have very flimsy support by the calf such that the sock loosely holds onto your leg. These are a real steal if you can get them on closeout.

These are stamped IRREGULAR on the soles, but I have yet to find any flaws that affect durability or comfort. All the usual features of quality wool apply to these;great moisture wicking, no odor like polyester liners and they're very smooth and comfortable. I haven't had them long enough to vouch for their durability, but they appear to be made with typical SmartWool quality.

These are liner socks but they work well for everyday in certain shoes.

I wear the Smart Wool sock liners instead of cotton socks daily. I wear the others to keep feet and legs warm when it is cold. My first set of Smart Wool socks lasted 2 years with daily use. I had 3 pair. They all have holes in them, but still wearing them to keep warm!! It is amazing how they survive multiple washings--even go through the drier, which I did accidentally. I normally air dry them. I love Smart Wool
