Verified Buyer Reviewed by Reggie from Texas on Wednesday, October 22, 2014I bought these with my new hiking boots and am glad I did. They have all the extra cushion you would expect from a hiking sock without all the height giving you another tan line. These will be my go to warm weather hiking socks.

hi jeff - my suggestion for these is a L. my husband is an 11.5 and wears a L. the only reason he wears an XL in some of the smartwool socks is so they are not so tight around his calves. for a low-rise sock like this, that won't matter. my son is a 13.5 and definitely needs an XL. hope that helps and these work for you!
