Having a small foot (women's 6), I'm often able to find nice socks from STP that are no longer available in bigger sizes. These were so small, my toes were squenched up when I got my heel in the heel cup, so back they went.

Most wool socks are too tight or too thick, but these are just right . The insides are a little bit thready ( like embroidery) but once you get past that they are very comfy, not itchy, and nicely warm.
These sock are Merino Wool which does not shrink like regular wool. They also have a lot of stretch.

I have small and medium in Smartwool socks. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the two sizes. I have not dried them in the dryer because I assume they would shrink since they are wool.

You should not see or feel any difference. 2nds: Minor cosmetic blemishes or irregulars which do not affect the fit, performance, or longevity of the item. Label is usually clipped by the manufacturer. A small flaw means big savings.
