I use this while cross country and downhill skiing. Very warm, keeps away moisture, very comfortable to move around in, not restricting. I've wanted this layer for a year now, thanks to Sierra Trading Post for their great sales!

I have the zip-neck version of this top in 3 colors. All of them are size large which is my usual size in smartwool tops. The zip-necks fit perfectly - I can wear them under a light jacket for cross-county skiing or hiking and then go out to dinner afterwards and take my jacket off and they look great - like a nice sweater, not too tight or revealing. However, this crew-neck version of the same style of top was way tighter than the zip-necks I bought previously. It fits so closely that I will only be using this as long underwear - I wouldn't be comfortable wearing it by itself to go out, it shows everything (like the seams in your bra!) and is not flattering on it's own. I'll be keeping it as a base-layer only but I'm disappointed that it won't be as versatile as the zip-necks.
