They are very stretchy and comfortable, with low volume at the toe. They are very high if pulled up they reach almost to the knee. The pattern is great, and they have retained perfect shape after several washes (I line dry them). I also bought them in blue, which is equally attractive. These socks are comfortable with boots or dress shoes, or even skiing, though there isn't any padding.

I do wish they were a tad more stretchy at the ankle, as that's my preference. On the plus side, they won't be slipping down. If you have a wider ankle I would take that into consideration, it could be a deal breaker, and who wants to hassle with returning socks?
