Reviewed by Gitters from Bahamas on Sunday, April 14, 2013I was looking for ski socks to wear in my Surefoot ski boots. As those boots are custom fit, I need thin, but warm socks. These did not fit that description. They were too thick to use in my boots. I also found that they run a bit small, I wear a size 8 shoe.

For some reason one of the pairs quickly tore in the heel which is unsual so I cannot condemn the entire product. I'll just sew this pair up since it is not worth a return.

Question “Do socks have "irregular" printed on them? Want to give as presents.”

Answer These socks are 2nds but do not have IRR printed on them. There is a small round sticker on some of the packages that does have IRR on it.

Question “How do the sizes run? For a size 9 women's shoe, what size sock would I purchase?”

Answer I wear a size 9 and I purchased the Medium socks and they fit perfect.

Answer These socks run true to size. The sizing is based on shoe sizes. For example, we have a large size which is for women with a size 10-12.5 shoe.

Question “Are these socks seconds? Why?”

Answer Yes. They are seconds. Barely perceptible blemishes.

Answer The only detectable problem I found on the three different pairs I ordered was that on one sock the front cushioning section was skewed to one side and not set squarely on the shin as in the picture. Another friend mentioned that the "SmartWool" lettering was a bit messed up on the pair of seconds he ordered.
