    These might be the most comfortable socks I have ever encountered. The cushioning is too bulky at the toe and heel for cycling (their intended purpose) and running but they excel at everything else. I wear these around casually and hiking. I'd wear them to work but they are too short for that.

    Picked these up for my daughter as she gets cold extremities. Uses them with her Asolo waterproof shoes. Thinks these socks are great. She also likes all of the other Smartwool socks I have given her. Beats paying for them yourself. My personal experience with socks in general is that I like to buy them a little bit on the small side so that they don't bunch up. With my Smartwools I haven't found that they wore out early because of that.
