4.0 out of 5 stars. Good sock, but sits higher than expected.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from NY on Sunday, June 21, 2015The sock is very comfortable, and does a good job of wicking moisture. Seems pretty sturdy, with the exception of one loose thread on the bottom. After two washes there is a decent amount of pilling which makes me wonder how well they will actually hold up over time. Also I have size 13 feet, and the XL sits about 3/4 of an inch above my ankle, and I think if I went with the large it would be too tight.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Out"standing" - No Pun IntendedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Arkansas on Sunday, May 3, 2015Love SmartWool socks so much that I refuse to allow any other brand to touch my feet. ALL my loved ones have been converted to the best sock in the land. They are comfortable, long-wearing and are warm in winter and cool in summer. For running, I require the little "tab" on the back to prevent any slipping. My hubby and brother wear the light-hiker, both crew and 1/4. The quarter-high are hard to find, but I'm vigilant!!!
