Reviewed by doctorsoandso from Norfolk, VA on Friday, February 15, 2013these socks are great. everyone knows smart wool is the way to go. skied in them several days without washing them...just as warm the last day i wore them, and they didn't smell a bit. they're very long, coming up all the way to my knees, essentially, which, if i had any complaints, would be it. BUT, in their defense, they didn't fall down after a full day of skiing.

Comfortable and warm especially given the light weight and apparent thinness of material. Unclear why these are marked as seconds, I did not observe anything out of the ordinary aside from that label.

Answer These products contain minor cosmetic flaws or slight irregularities, which do not affect the fit, performance or longevity of the item. A small flaw means big savings. Label is usually clipped or marked by the manufacturer.

Answer It means some really gross person wore them first and now you have to wear them second (getting 2nds). Haha just kidding. All 2NDS means is that you won't see them at a store for sale. Usually there is some imperfection with them so the maker, ie Smartwool, won't sell them to the store. Instead of shooting them into outer space they offer them for low prices at an outlet store such as the great STP.|Nothing is wrong with them.

Answer Seconds means that there is some minor imperfection and they won't be sold at full price. I have bought 8 pairs of socks from Sierra Trading and have carefully examined them and I can't find the imperfection. It could be a stitch in the wrong color or something tiny like that, but I can't find it.

Answer Means they didn't pass their own quality control standards. Often a minor flaw, unnoticeable unless you are ridiculous and meticulous, especially for socks; for a suit or nice shirt maybe its an issue, NOT for socks....
