Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Very warm without bulk. Fits great under a slim fitting shell.
For me fit is true to size and length. (I got Small, and I'm 5'0", 110 lb)
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Regular from Minnesota on Friday, March 4, 2016I liked the outer shell of the piece (I ordered it in cream) but did not like that the inner lining was grey. It took away from the soft/creamy look that I wanted. Sadly, I had to send it back.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mamaof4 from Idaho on Sunday, November 30, 2014Very happy with the purchase. Got caught in an unexpected cold rain and I stayed warm!
I am 5'6" and 125lbs and the medium fits perfectly. It even looks a bit dressier than your average winter coat.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Chapelashelle from Chicago on Sunday, June 1, 2014I had been looking at similar Jackets by other popular brands all winter, but nothing exactly fitted the bill. I Saw this on Sierra, read other reviews and decided to give it a try. The colour is a wonderful shade of blue. The shape is flatering and fits like a glove, enough room for layering. I ordered the L. I am 5.11 and 160lb athletic build. The Jacket is light weight and appears to be warm. Yet to find out, as spring is finally here in Chicago. Comes highly recommended.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jessica Yee from Singapore on Monday, April 21, 2014Overall a nice jacket, really. Well stitched, warm, and quality product. The only problem I have is that the size runs big. So for most other jackets, I am on a Size L, and this Size L feels more like Size XL. The sleeves at the arm area is huge, seems a bit out of proportion with the rest of the jacket though. I cannot return it as I am miles away and would not be economical for me considering the shipping I need to pay.
Reviewed by Cindi from New York City on Friday, January 24, 2014Boxy and very wide in the shoulders! I have wide shoulders and this coat was hugely boxy and squarish in shape, not at all flattering. The neck was not a snug fit either. I really love the materials, the jacket feels great on. However, the fit is terrible, so I am returning it.

“Is this packable--I mean, is it bulky to pack or can it be squeezed and rolled?
Is the exterior at all water resistant? I'm not talking about in a downpour--but say, a mist?
I'm traveling to Scotland -- 45-55 degrees and damp. ”
This item is not too bulky, so it is decently packable, but is not designed as a packable jacket. The outer fabric is nylon, so there is some water resistance.
Sure, you can pack it easily in a suitcase. I don't know if it would work in a backpack. Yes, the exterior is water resistan. I've worn it during snowfall but not rain. It's my favorite running jacket.
Hi there, while I did not keep this jacket, I loved the materials and believe it will be great traveling to Scotland, but not as the only layer in the wintertime! Be sure to have some wool base layers to go underneath. I think the outer material is water shedding (not proof). I think you could pack it down, but not to a tiny thing, after all, it is wool you are compressing. Yet, it is the real wool insulation that makes it feel really great and dependably warm when on so that dampness won't feel bad at all! If it looked better on me I would be wearing it!
No, the jacket is not bulky at all and can easily be squeezed, rolled etc. As an aside, don't know if you have ever used the vacuum packing bags before but they are great for compressing especially for all that wool you should take!
As for water resistant, I just stuck the sleeve under the faucet and it does appear to be pretty water resistant.
Have a great trip!
Can it be squeezed and rolled? Not really. It is not like a down jacket that compresses. So it has to be packed just like you would pack a substantial sweater. Is the exterior at all water resistant? I walked my dog in some light rain for about an hour, and that is the only test I base my judgement on. I did not feel wet, I was comfortable and dry. So I would say it has mist (but not downpour) resistance based on my limited experience.
I think it would be good. Rolls up and would be warmth without bulk
