4.0 out of 5 stars. nice light shellReviewed by pmonk from California on Monday, April 29, 2013Marino wool shell is a great idea and has been high on my list for some time. I wear an XL in the shoulders (46) and a L in the waist (36) and always like to find TALL sizes when possible. This would have been one of those cases. The XL is a tad bit wide in the belly and even a little snug around the shoulders. With just a base layer underneath, this will still work, but won't be able to have a sweater or bulky shirt underneath. But until I can find a TALL in a similar marino wool jacket/shell, it will have to do - the quality is acceptable as long as you're not paying full price.

5.0 out of 5 stars. High quality mid-layerReviewed by Rayhull@aol.com, not want tin from Rensselaer, NY on Thursday, April 25, 2013SmartWool means good quality, but this is a mid-layer piece, (for use under a shell) not really meant for exterior wear, that I was looking for. Regrettably returned.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Very good productReviewed by Anonymous from Iowa on Monday, April 1, 2013The quality is good. The size is more on relaxed side: I am 5'10", 175 lb, and size large fits me good in shoulders, but allows to get some layering. I give 4 stars because the sleeves inside do not cover by wool.

4.0 out of 5 stars. everything old is new againReviewed by Anonymous from missouri on Tuesday, March 19, 2013This is a good mid layer. It's very warm for the weight. In principle it's very much like filled thermal underwear my grandpa used in the 1950s and 60s. Just updated and upgraded. My only complaint is in it's fit. I'm an average sized person 5' 11", 175 lbs., and generally wear a medium. When ordered, the medium was too small in upper arms and chest by just a hair. I returned and got in large. It's a bit roomier than I would prefer. I decided that I would be more likely to be using as a light outerwear than extreme cold underwear and kept the large, but really needed a size in between.
