2nds. SmartWool's Tri Ombre socks offer the same wicking, temperature-regulating performance as their active socks, but with a lightweight, everyday design that's perfect for everything from the office to cuddling on the couch.

I got these socks in the violet color, and love how warm, yet thin they are. I use them for running, as well as for sleep, which is nice, because at that weight, they do not over-toast my feet. I love the pattern, too... Nice change from my usual love of stripes! Definitely recommend!

I work on my feet all day on hard cement. I also need socks that get wet (from watering landscape and tropical plants) and don't rot your feet. I also wear the brand Icebreaker, purchased from Sierra Trading. There are other merino wool /blend socks out there but none I am as comfortable with.

These socks are lightweight with minimal cushion, perfect for cooler September days in upstate New York. The cuff is not too tight, but the seam across the toes seems hard. Might soften after a few washings. Size Medium fits my 7-1/2 - 8 size feet perfectly.
Oddly enough, the SmartWool name/logo is missing on these socks.
(Compare to the similar Splendor Socks, item no 6421A, which are thinner and with no cushioning. Great for summers in the north.)
