I didn't look at the dimensions of this item when I got one. It was bigger than I was expecting. This is the best sharpener of this type that I have used. I love the ceramic rods. I have never used them before and am amazed how sharp they get knives. I tried the scissors sharpener too and it also works well.
Normally a hand held V type sharpener without the rods or scissors part cost at least $8-10 at a store.
