My husband loves this jacket! There is elastic inside the inside pockets to hold the barrel in place. The sleeves also unzip so that you can roll them up!

Absolutely love this jacket. Comfortable, functional, looks great, gives good rain protection but breathes so not hot in warmer weather. i have a dedicated shooting jacket but for sport shooting, this is perfect. That said, this jacket is a great everyday jacket for any use.

I've just received the Smith & Wesson's Shooting jacket and it is just what I was looking for - a lighter weight and (hopefully) durable jacket that should stand up to abuse. The sizing of my Medium jacket and the quality of the workmanship are both good. I like that it has a lot of pockets - but I'm still wondering about the usefulness of the two sleeve pockets. If I were to nitpick - I wish the jacket was about two inches longer. At STP's price I feel this jacket is a good value. However, even though I like this jacket, there is no way I would ever consider paying the MSRP price ($259) for it.

Shooting gear, like motorcycle wear, needs to be cut in appreciation of the use it will get. In this case, S&W had a good idea to enclose concealed-carry pockets for both left and right-handed shooters, (caution, pistols will "print" through this fabric), but they came up short on the sleeve length. My XL (I'm a perfect 46 Long) was OK in the chest and very good with the gusseted shoulders (not baggy); but the sleeves were barely long enough with my 35" arms at my sideā€¦ and very inadequate with a pistol or long gun aimed/mounted.

Otherwise, seemed like decent but rather stiff quality nylon canvas. If you have under 34" sleeves and take and XL, you're home free on this one.

This jacket has a ton of pockets. It is heavy canvas so it's perfect for fall.
