Smith Optics Aura Sunglasses - Polarized (For Women)

I wanted these glasses to work so bad! Great shape, dark polarized lenses, great frame color and durability of Smith; but they are too small for my face. For a girl I have a larger head and features and these were just to small to look good. I have always bought Smiths and are my favorite brand, these ones just missed the mark for me. If you have a larger head you make look at getting something else because they are made for small to medium sized faces.

The quality of these glasses is good, nice solid seeming construction and what looks and feels like stout hinges, time will tell if these impressions are correct. The 1 yr warranty should cover any eventualities which is comforting. The frames are a bit darker than they look, and the angle of the picture lessens the cat eye look of the glasses (the angle of the bottom of the lens is a bit sharper/longer than it appears), but they look good on. I do not recommend them if you have a wide face, they seem a bit narrow. Lastly, realize that they are heavy since they are made of glass, so they will press down on the bridge of your nose more than polycarbonate lens glasses.

It's difficult to buy sunglasses online, yet I had to try these out - they're SO good-looking, incredibly light weight, and the optical quality of the lenses is so good! I would highly recommend these: they're feminine, sporty & comfortable. I plan on wearing them when I cycle, though for now as driving sunglasses, they're perfect. I will DEFINITELY buy Smith sunglasses from Sierra Trading Post again.

Got these for my daughter, who is 15. The frames have a lot more black in them than is pictured, but she likes them, they fit well, and come in a nice case.

These are really well-made, but WAY TOO Risky Business for me. I like funky stuff, but these are just plain, old 80's. So, they're going back....

I ordered these Smith glasses, as a back up to another pair of Smiths that I love. The were HUGE, and I'm not a tiny human being.. 5'11 and 150. However, I did try them on for a while in my back yard to see how the optics felt. I continue to love the Smith lens, and I have to say despite looking funny, they were comfortable on.

I tried on this same pair at REI (Smith still makes this model just a different color) and I loved how they fit. This pair fits just like the new model-comfortable and the nose padsprevent slippage. The quality is outstanding. The coverage is not too large-adequate protection. They are not too 'cat-eye', rather, they look very chic with out giving off a ridiculous hipster vibe. LOVE these glasses! Highly recommend.

I like Smith Optics glasses because the lens clarity is so good. I don't get headaches from them. They curve gently to your face protecting your eyes from sun glare coming in the sides. The lenses on this pair are not completely opaque (you can sort of see your eyes) so I use them in the winter and spring. I am rather sun sensitive.

I could fine nothing redeeming about these sunglasses; way too big for most women, uncomfortable.

Smith sunglasses are great and this was a super price for polarized ones. Unfortunately they didn't fit my face well enough, so I'm sending them back (but sure wish I could have kept them!).
