    i bought these shades for cycling, as they looked to offer pretty good coverage and i've had good luck with smith in the past. after trying them out, i'd say they are a bit heavy and bulky for active sports, but they are fantastic for driving, golf, etc - really good polarized lenses and tint that isn't so dark you lose detail. just be prepared to look like a mafioso, cuz the good coverage is courtesy of HUGE frames (not for small heads).

    I'm planning on using these for fishing as I've been looking for sunglasses with a very wide temple to block side light. These aren't as dorky-looking as many of the sunglasses with side shields made for fishing.

    These feel cheaper, not as 'beefy', as my previous Smith glasses of a similar style. The lenses are not 'recessed', which make them feel more like $14.99 drugstore glasses than high-quality Smiths. I will hold out for some more styley glasses.
