Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Alohadboy from Denton TX on Wednesday, May 8, 2013I purchased this helmet right before a trip to Breckenridge and I must say it's great. I didn't get to take full advantage of all the features (ie the vents), but not only does this helmet look great but it performs great too. Being my first time riding I figured I would fall a lot, and I did; this helmet saved my head from some nasty hits. It also comes with a sack to carry it around/protect it which is pretty nice.
On the downside, I originally had a pair of Native goggles that were not too large but they didn't fit with this helmet and I had to return them. I ended up buying a pair of Smith goggles while in Breck and, go figure, they fit with this helmet. With that said, I had no issues with the goggles moving around and the clamp on the back worked fine.
Reviewed by sou4ic from Virginia on Tuesday, April 16, 2013I purchased this helmet as a first time skier and wanted to make sure I had good protection since I thought I may need it. I liked the fact that the helmet was adjustable and it was very true to size. It was lightweight enough that I forgot I had it on. I wasn't sure about the whole venting system but by mid day was thankful for it as my head started getting hot & it was instant relief when I opened up the vents. The goggle strap is great and the helmet was perfect with Smith IO goggles. This also was at a great price point as I tried on helmets in shops that were 2 to 3 times the price for the same brand. I'm sure I'll get many years good out of this.
Reviewed by MJB from cincinnati on Wednesday, April 10, 2013It seems really nice. It is comfortable and well made. the real test will come next winter.
Reviewed by mugengsr from VA on Thursday, March 28, 2013I got a great price here on Sierra. The helmet is a bit heavier than most, but it's super comfortable. It's well made and looks great. Highly recommended.
Reviewed by hans from Vermont on Tuesday, March 26, 2013after a few bumps and dents and 10 years, the old helmet was ready to be replaced. This helmet is super comfy and well vented... the liner of the helmet is mesh and somehow helps with venting. The brim is super cool looking. A little heavier than Giro though, but not bad. I like the "drop in" audio... and trying to decide what headphones to drop in.
The only weird thing is the helmet whistles in my ears when I'm going medium fast with head facing forward and vents closed. not too annoying though I guess.
