I've not had them long enough to know how well they wear. They are wonderful if you have a really high arch. None of the 'high arch' in the stores comes close to this. I will order a second pair to have in reserve. I had to quit using the treadmill at the gym because of foot pain. My orthopedic doct...

I found these to be excellent supports for over-pronation. I use them in both athletic and hiking shoes, as well as my winter boots. As a cardiac and recovery room nurse, I wear nothing but rigid Dansko clogs at the hospital -- nothing else has prevented arch pain for me when I'm on my feet for up to 14 hours per shift. If those work for you and prevent plantar fasciitis, then you would probably love these insoles as well. Over-pronation is usually associated with higher arches that roll over due to insufficient support structures within the foot, giving the appearance of being low arches. These insoles are for medium-to-high arches, but they are well cushioned. Try a pair and see. I have ordered multiple sets so I don't have to keep switching between shoes and boots.

I don't have any foot problems, but the insoles in my Sacony running shoes, hiking boots, and snow boots all needed to be replaced. I used these insoles and love them. The arch support is very good and they are so cushiony and comfortable. I would recommend trying them!!

The cushioning in the Sof Sole insoles are great. They support high arches really well. Before purchasing and using them, my arches would ache and hurt so bad especially when I was on my feet for a long period. I have extremely high arches and desperately needed some king of arch support and these are fantastic. I no longer have the aching and hurting after using the Sof Sole insoles. As far as how they differ, I don't know. I highly recommend the Sof Sole insoles for anyone who suffers with high, aching arches as they do a great job in supporting.

Metatarsal pain and very high arches is why I took a chance on these insoles, and they are awesome! There is also a lot of cushion for joint comfort, and the gel cushion is particularly effective. I have ordered several pairs and got two for my brother who has the same arch problems. He loves them too. Because the cushion is thick, we have to size up in shoes (½ size and/or get Wide) to accommodate the thickness of the insole, but it's worth it for the comfort. Sorry, I can't compare these with other versions or Happy Feet because I'm not familiar with those. These insoles are especially good for athletic shoes, but I wear them in my winter boots as well. A lot of times I have to add a metatarsal pad with insoles because that arch support is often missing (like with Spenco) but these have been good so far. I will be ordering more of these. Hope this info helps.

The material is dense foam including the high arch which provides good cushioning. There are no stiff materials used in this insole. The other model of Sof Sole that I have used is not designed for high arches. I am not familiar with Happy Feet.
