When extended into the operating position for use, it feels as if it will come apart and break. The e-tool would not even rate for using in potting soil so do not even expect to use it in a camping environment.

Reviewed by Rich the Bushwacker from Atlanta, GA on Monday, September 17, 2012I used this around my house to trim a lot of nasty brush and branches in areas where I could get to use my power trimmer, and it worked nicely. The trenching tool seems solid; this review is mainly for the machete. SOG stuff is real solid and after seeing some critical reviews I was happy to find it a good deal nicer than your generic machete, IMO. My only complaint is that I wish it were a tad longer. For the money I don't think you'll do better.
