Very nice lightweight SS pot set. Simple, quality construction, lightweight. Almost as light as titanium but much cheaper and more durable.

If you are striving for UL solo backpacking, I'd recommend you get a 0.7L Ti mug and a 1L Al pot w/ heat exchanger (e.g. Fire Maple) instead. Otherwise, read on!

High quality 304SS (18/10) will easily last > 10 years. Does not bend or deform, even if used in campfire. Overall, the entire set is relatively lightweight for the durability and versatility you get -- obviously this is no Ti but you can't beat the price (and Ti has a much worse heat transfer profile). This is a great deal for a highly-versatile pot set since you basically get the same thing as the MSR Alpine set (1.5L and 2L) PLUS a bonus 1.25L-- with the STP deal it's ~$30!

Lid fits nicely over any pot. Not sure you ever need to take all 3 on a trip, but pick any combo depending on your group size and trip demands: The 1.25L is good for solo trips and wide enough to nest most bowls (fits MSR alpine nesting bowls) along with most backpacking stoves (MSR dragonfly fit with room to spare). Bring along the 1.5 and 2L for a group of up to 4. The wide pots are very stable. Let them "soot" a little bit on the bottom for better heat transfer. Don't mash on the handle and it won't bend. That's a typical complaint with many of these Al pot grippers. Due to the design of the gripper and the rolled edge of the pot, the pot will not slip out even with a very light grip on the handle (the weight of the pot and its contents will do the work for you) -- you just need to worry about holding the weight itself.

Cleaning is very easy. Stuff doesn't easily stick but it can happen if you don't tend to it. Small scotch-brite square typically takes care of it easily. Since it's all 304SS you don't have to worry about scratching or damaging any coatings. You could even put some hot water and small gravel, close the lid and shake it up -- cleans up and anything and the pot holds up great.

The stuff sacks its comes with are good quality but I'd recommend leaving them since they're not really necessary and add weight. Just get a big rubber band and put the lid on and the whole thing holds together well in the pack. No need to worry about it being damaged in the pack.

This one set will last you for years for almost all types of backpacking and camping trips. Highly recommend. Great product at a great price!

Pot set is nicely made and should hold up for years. It is a little bit too big to comfortably sit on the Solo Stove unless the stove is on a solid level surface.
