They're stiff at first but will loosen up with use. A funny thing I like about them: the leather creaks like a saddle when you're walking in them. :-) The stiffest part of the leather upper is the spine of the boot from the ankle up. Double socks help with that. The fit is true to size. I ordered a 6.5, which is what I wear in any shoe. Perfect fit.

I usually wear a size 7.5 to 8, and ordered a size 7 which fits perfectly with a pair of wool socks. They are very durable and super cute! The lining is removable for easy washing. Highly recommended!!!
