I originally tried a less expensive Kamik pack boot but it was not comfortable and didn't appear to have quality construction. I was a bit upset but found a really decent deal on these Caribou II's.
I wore them around the house for about 20 minutes and found the fit to be perfect, the temperature to be hot, but they are very bulky and a bit heavy compared to my insulated hiking boots (that I normally shovel snow and sled with the kids in).
I wore them in a very minor snow the other day (4"), but the temp's at night were around -5F. They were plenty warm and held traction on a driveway slope.
Any way, I think they'll be great as long as they are truly waterproof. I do say they are bulky and heavy, but I kind of expected both those with these type of boots.
