Versatile Boot!!

I was looking for the boot that could do everything -warm at below 0 degree F temps, but also waterproof at wetter temps, work with snowhoes, comfortable enough to walk at least a couple miles, but also nice looking enough that I could wear to town, or even with a jean skirt to church. I have used these in all of the above.

This boot came as close as I think is possible. I was pleased at how easy they were to take on and off. (I wasn't anticipating that when I pulled them from the box.) They worked well with my snowshoes and kept my feet warm when I had to stand around in very cold weather, kept my feet dry wen the temps warmed to wet snow and then to rain, and yet when I wore them in a vehicle for over 500 miles my feet didn't get too warm.

I have comfortably walked several miles in them, and yes, I have worn them to casual evening church (but then I live in Alaska AND don't stress the highest of fashion. So, although the tops make them very nice, the bottoms are still a Sorel waterproof boot -which is not the dressiest boot. Still I wanted to be able to wear a real winter boot with my skirt, not have to carry and chage shoes when I get someplace. AND they fit well with my jeans - inside or outside if they are boot cut. Several of my active gal friends have asked me where I got them, and every guy (including my husband and a stranger in a store) love the look of them. (Several said they wish their wives/girlfirends would wear them.)

I did not give a 5 star rating, which they probably deserve, because the fit is a bit hard to figure. The toe is boxy and a bit short - which is why several said to go up a size (1/2 size), but the heel is big and ankle is wide. That gives them a bit of a clunky rather than fashionable feel; however,I did go up a full size (my size was not available). I do not wear heavy socks, but I do have a wide foot and calf. The heel is big although the toe was just right for my real size. (I wear chirpractic inserts so the extra room works.)
