These are very cute boots, but they aren't practical or snow boots. The fleece lining only goes down about 6 inches along the side, and as another reviewer noted, there's significant gapping at the bottom of the laces, allowing cold air in. There is in fact no gussetting. The foot itself is also not very lined or cozy. I did return them. They run true to size, unlike other Sorels which tend to run 1/2 size bigger.

I love the look, comfort and warmth. They are easy on and can be tightened easily with the laces snug to my ankle and calf. The 4 star rating is for the tongue. It is not connected at the ankle at all and sometimes tends to slip and twist to the side while being worn.

Very cute and comfy, though not amazingly warm. I'd love to give them more stars, BUT there is a wide gaping between the tongue and main part of the boot when the ankle is folded... As a result, when you're walking in snow, it packs right into the boot. So that's *kind* of a problem for snow boots... disappointed in Sorel's lack of testing on this design! It's kind of ridiculous.

These boots are cute, but lacking functionality. The tongue is open on the sides literally all the way down. I don't see how this would keep out snow in the winter. I ordered a 7.5 since other reviews said they ran a little big and they fit perfectly- I usually where an 8 true to size. I will be returning them because of the tongue and the upper material looks cheap. Sorel has definitely changed over the years.
