I like these as a dressier casual boot. Mine are quality construction, nice chocolate brown. I like that they feel snug around the calf/ankle. A little snug for the bridge of my foot - but I ordered an 8 and I'm usually an 8W or 8.5. I also bought the Sorel Milano's and have been wearing them more but that's because I needed more waterproof than water resistant. I'm happy with my purchase, a nice boot with jeans, dresses/tights and khaki's. Bought on sale so pleased with price - I am very cost conscious.

I plan to wear them everyday. Sizing runs true. They aren't as supportive as some of my boots but are going to work well with heavy wool socks.

Answer I wear a Euro 38.5 and took a US 8 in these. I think an 8.5 would be a Euro 39.
