I didn't need to break them in and they seem to be water proof! Been wearing them almost constantly since they arrived as winter seems to not want to leave Minnesota this year!

The sevens are perfect with one heavy pair of socks. Love the look and comfort! I am tempted to keep the eights for really cold weather and more socks as they are not that warm.

I've only been wearing them around my college campus for a few days in the snow/rain/cold but they are definitely EXACTLY what I'm looking for. In my opinion, they run true to size: I ordered a size 10 and the majority of my shoes are 10's with the exception of running shoes where I normally am a 10.5. They don't really run wide except in the heel, but I have a narrow-er foot than most and I don't have any problem with slippage with thin socks or thicker socks. They are the most comfortable shoes I have for standing on my feet at work for 6+ hours, and keep my feet nice and warm without getting toooo warm. I got a great deal on these boots and I hope they last me a long time!

I wore them for an entire day of walking around downtown Chicago - they were very comfortable but they dyed my socks RED! the insoles are red and dye my socks! big negative! but comfortable nonetheless.
