Sorel Intrepid Expedition Pac Boots - Comfort Rated -100°F (For Men)

Ordered one size larger to accomodate extra heavy pair of socks. Plan to use for extreme cold condition ice fishing and hunting. Has a better fit than most pac boots, due to lacing on the inner felt system. Gives a fit like a ski boot. Thought about sending back due to the weight, glad I did not. Have used once ice fishing 7 hours with temp 12-18 degrees (with wind 5-15 miles/hr), did not have to worry about my feet getting cold. Walked about 1 1/2 miles, up and down one large hill. Boot weight seemed ok.

These boots appear to be well made and warm. They are very bulky and heavy. Would be good for ice fishing or stand hunting in cold weather..too heavy to walk a lot with these. I returned as I planned to use for more active sports.

Followed the 1/2 size down recommendation from STP and that appears to be accurate when sizing. I bought these primarily to use while watching my daughter Ski racing this coming winter. While it is still warm out, they do appear to have what it takes to be very warm and cozy. They are bulky and somewhat heavy, but I don't plan to be doing a lot of walking in them. Appear to be of very good quality as well as one would expect from Sorel.

Excellent boot. Similar to vapor barrier boots that were a long standard in cold weather--but these are more comfortable and functional.
