Sorel MacKenzie Lace Boots - Tall, Insulated (Women)

As promised, the second review of this boot from Canada. This boot is great looking and warm...but if you intend to stand on ice or in snow for an extended period of time, this may not be the boot for you. After 3 hours on ice ( Winterlude ) i had frozen feet and had to call it a day, even with two pairs of wool socks on. This may just be my feet, but it was unpleasant, it felt like the bottom sole of the shoe was getting frozen, as soon as i left the ice it got better. if you walk around the city in -20 c temps and spend limited time (under 2 hours) on the snow or ice these boots will keep your feet warm and dry but not for long stationary periods (maybe that is all boots??). Keep moving and you are fine. Great boot though and i do love them, great over jeans, they are bulky so don't really go with a skirt but i still wear them like that. happy to wear these but heavy duty ones are required.

The boots are very warm and comfortable! I spend many Saturdays at my sons outdoor hockey games and these have definitely got me through the day more than once. Good find!

These boots are warm and very comfortable. I have not had a chance to expose them to nasty weather yet but my first impression is that they will be warm enough because of the thickness of the inner sole and they also look as if they will be ok in the snow. I doubt they would be great in rain, sleek and very wet snow as they are leather, even if water resistant. Getting in and out is easy as long as you are willing to loosen the laces quite a bit, no zippers. it does not really bug me but was mentioned here before. I ordered brown and the color is exactly what I expected and how it looked online. The boots are bulky but that was obvious from the photos, I think it looks fun. They are very comfortable. I wear 8.5 to 9. Mostly 8.5 in regular shoes and 9 in boots and everything that requires warm wool sox. I ordered these in 9 and they on the larger side. Not sure 8.5 would have been better but I am not intending to walk a marathon with them so should be fine. I want to have them for a Sunday walk thru the snow, hours on the local christkindlmarket in the cold or bfore and after skiing.
