First off, STP is awesome to allow no fuss exchanges! I ordered these in 6.5 according to reviews that said they ran big. They do, however I am sending them back because after wearing them in the house for about an hr I think my heels rub just a tiny bit and I'm afraid of blisters. I just reordered in size 7 my normal size. I had also ordered the Mackenzie boots without the lace in 6.5 to, per reviews. These were definitely 6.5 s and I sent them back right away. I have lousy feet and need orthotics in most boots - even in other sorel boots such as the slimpack boots. However, these are comfortable. Wore them like I said for about an hr in the house and my feet did not hurt. So, bottom line I think you should order your normal size, it might give you a tiny bit of wiggle space since I do believe they are just a tad bit bigger but as with all shoes, ea fit a little different.

I've only worn these twice but they seem to be just what I wanted. Warm, cozy, and not heavy. Spring is coming so winter next year will be the test. So far, they are great.

I haven't had a chance to wear the boots outside yet (didn't snow until today since I got them), but was pleased with how comfortable they are while inside my home.

I am a volunteer fire department member and will use these boots when acting as Fire Police. Have tried them out for comfort and warmth, because I don't want a boot that will fail when I need them, and can say without a doubt that these boots are the most comfortable and warm boots I have ever worn. There is absolutely no doubt these boots will handle being on my feet for hours in the cold, snow or slush.

  • Question “Are these fairly serious winter boots, or are they kick-around-town boots? Is the felt liner full length or just the top half? And, they say non-water proof, does that mean wet slushy snow will soak them?”
Asked on 12/18/2012 12:00:00 AM by Hikin' from Montana
    • Answer They have a water resistant upper which would eventually soak through if wet for a long time. The fleece is full length.

  • Question “Do you think that you could drive in these boots? I have the Helen of the tundra boots and I cannot drive in them. How about these?”
Asked on 11/6/2011 12:00:00 AM by allie from Steamboat Springs, CO
    • Answer The Sorel MacKenzie Lace Boots are not like your typical pair of "wide" Sorel boots, I do not see why you couldn't drive in them.

  • Question “Do the laces work like as in an sneaker? In other words is the boot open on the top leg part? or is it closed and the laces are just as a decorative. Looking for a boot that is completely closed on the top leg part. Thanks.”

  • Question “Are the boots US sizes? I'm after an Australian size 7.5/8”
Asked on 8/15/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Australia
    • Answer Yes all the sizes are in American.
Answered on 8/23/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from none
    • Answer I ordered a 10.5 in the Sorel MacKenzie and i take a Euro 43, and UK 9 (which is what Aussie uses) check on the tag of your runners and that will give you the equivalant US sizes. Hope this helps.
