I went with my natural size maybe could have gone down a 1/2 size, but I like the way they fit, they are very comfortable and clean up easily. My feet have been warm in the snow. When I get inside my feet stay comfortable and do not get extremely hot. I got the black boots, it might have been nice to have light colored buttons and buckel so they stand out more, but they are fine for me. I are a nice looking boot yu can wear when dressed up and still bery functional in the bad weather. I would definately recommend.

Just not as cute as I expected, seemed like they would be dirty all the time. I'm a walking commuter and was looking for something cute yet practical to wear to law school. These just underwhelmed me. They fit ok though --I'm a size 10 with a fairly wide foot. Sent them back.

Really appreciated everyone's reviews about the fit as well as other comments on function etc. Yes, they are 'generous' around the top and a little snug across the bridge of the foot nearest the ankle at first. I ordered an 8 in black (I am usually an 8 1/2 and sometimes and 8W) these were a great fit for me. I don't expect 'winter' boots unless they are 'arctic style winter' like the traditional Sorels. These were my daily wearers in central Manitoba for 2 weeks in March while we worked outside all day - mornings were freezing conditions, and when the sun came out the ground would melt and you couldn't avoid the water puddles - large! water puddles. I basically used these as rubber boots. By the end of 8 or 10 hours when I took my boots off at night my feet would feel damp but there was no noticeable water. I think it was more the exteriors were waterlogged and so with the freezing temperatures this translated to damp. Each night I put them over a heat register and the next day started fresh. They were totally disgusting - mud etc. It all washed off, dried out and I am back to wearing them as 'urban winter casuals'. Very, very pleased with this purchase - watching for another sale - these are totally worth having on hand. They were a little 'slick' when wet, so pay attention when walking in slippery conditions. PS. They do make your foot look really tiny :)

Look so cute in the pictures... but boy are they misleading. They really look like neoprene dive booties.

On the plus side... they make my feet look smaller.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
