Reviewed by kalima from maine on Saturday, April 27, 2013i'm usually an 8 but this one, my feet swim in that size. it is well made and dense...definitely not a light pair of footwear. the design on the side is very cute but incase you missed it in the description, the plaid part is TEXTILE--cloth material.

Some reviewers said the calf was too small but it fits my calf. My calves are on the large side @ 15 inches. Like one reviewer said, I don't know how well the shaft of the boot will clean up due to the fabric covering. Maybe I'll treat them with a waterproof spray, but I don't intend to walk in mud up to my shin! They are comfortable to wear all day but beware; they don't breathe & if they're snug on your leg, your calf may get damp due to perspiration. All in all, I love my new boots. They're a quality boot & very well constructed - exactly what I expected. I look forward to wearing them many years!

They are comfortable, warm, and aren't bulky or heavy. Being waterproof and insulated, they keep my feet warm and dry. They are true to size. The textile upper is cute but not practical for me. It is taking a beating already and in time, will get pretty torn up. But, since it is purely decorative, it adheres to a waterproof shaft, it won't affect the boot's function. These boots work well for me - good for a New England winter by the shore!
