These boots are very comfortable as well as really warm. The ankle area is a bit big, but they are snow boots and meant for thick layers and socks.

These boots are absolutely beautiful! They look great and feel great. I bought these to replace a pair of Uggs that are very slippery when walking in the snow (crazy, right?), anyway, these have a great sole the is chunky enough for walking on slippery surfaces, but, no so giant as to look clunky. I haven't worn them yet in super cold weather so I am not sure about the warmth factor, but, they seem like they would be quite warm.

I live in Fairbanks, AK and was looking for cute boots that would keep my feet warm at -15F. So far, so good. Lowest I've tested them is -10F. I wouldn't recommend these for hiking, due to the lack to ankle support.

Asked on 12/11/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer The Sorel Suka II Leather Boots are very good winter boots! Something to keep in mind is that the boots are not completely waterproof. Other then that they should be great snow shoeing boots.
Answered on 12/11/2011 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Ryan from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I brought these boots to AK this winter and my friend who lives up here and is an avid snowshoer said they would work for a short trip, but the straps may rub the leather and alter their appearance. I didn't get a chance to snowshoe in them; however, I was confident in their warmth and waterproof abilities after playing in knee-deep snow on multiple occasions.

  • Question “Do these boots run true to size? If I wear an 8 normally, for instance should I order an 8? or 8.5 if I want to be able to wear thick socks? Thanks!”
Asked on 10/14/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Casper, WY
    • Answer Yes, this boot runs true to size. At Sierra Trading Post if at any time a shoe does not fit exactly as the manufacturer claims, they will add a "size note" at the end of the irregularly sized shoe.

    • Answer I usually wear a 7.5, but I ordered them in 8 just in case. I'm definitely glad I got the 8. I think a 7.5 would be too tight even with normal socks.|Hope this helps!

  • Question “I have a high arch and can't use "slip on" style boots. I need boots that can be opened to the ankle. Do these boots open or are the closures just decorative.”
Asked on 9/17/2011 12:00:00 AM by Dawn from Unknown
    • Answer These Suka boots are made in a pull on design.
Answered on 9/19/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from None
    • Answer People say they're a slip-on, but you should use the toggle closure. I bought these boots, and they open down to about two inches above the ankle. You can fit a good arch support in them.
