This is a great boot! Very comfortable and warm. It is also nice looking. I will continue to purchase Sorels in the future. They are all they claim to be, unlike Columbias which claim to be waterproof and really are not.

I needed boots desperately this winter for shoveling snow and walking through partially cleared and melting snow and ice on the streets. Plus, I thought I might also be interested in sledding with the niece and nephew if the whim hit me. I wanted a pair that would last through a few years at least. Thankfully, I stumbled across this site and found these boots.
The low price of course was a consideration. For the the quality, it appeared more than acceptable in comparison with what I was finding any where else... including locally. And I have really looked around!
Our first measurable snow came yesterday and remained unshoveled until tonight. I was dreading having to do it without boots. (Some of the snow was stuck down and icy in places. I did slide a bit on it, but was relatively stable.) Wonderfully, the boots (which I had ordered just a few days ago) were sitting right there on the steps. I put them on almost immediately. They are a little bit of an effort to pull on, but not horribly so. They fit snuggly around the ankles (which would suit me well in deeper snow) and are bit stiff in that area... but I like that fit and they are not incredibly tall. Plus that stiffness may looseness a little more with some wear. In any case, the fit everywhere was very comfortable... even for the first wearing.
They look like they will indeed stay nicely dry since they are seamed up well. Of course with the weather at about 12 degrees or so tonight, I wasn't able to inspect that aspect of them. With just a thin athletic sock I was just barely feeling a little chill to my toes after about an hour and a half of being outside. (My fingers and legs didnt fair nearly as well.) With a thicker sock (which should also be comfortable - since there was still a little toe room), that would probably not have been experienced at all.
Also, they did seem true to size by my judgement.
I am so happy to finally have the right boots!

I was very concerned that my teen would rather freeze this winter than wear big ugly cold weather boots. I found these & thought they looked cute & rather stylish. I was right! She wears them to and from school with no complaints - she actually LIKES them.

I think these boots will be great this winter for everything-after ski, snowshoeing, walking the dogs, chores. We haven't had much ice yet, but they did great in snow, and were comfortable and warm walking with the dogs in varied terrain. The rubber part at the bottom was more flexible than most which added to the comfort, as I have sensitive feet.
