True to size, excellent for snow/icy conditions ( which my job requires) and arent as heavy, clumby as the taller sorels. Reckon I could win a sprint in them - hence the reason I brought another, short sorel boot.

These boots run a bit small. I am an 8-8.5, so I ordered an 8.5 and found these boots too tight in the toes. I would not have been able to wear warm socks with them. My feet are narrow, and I did like the width - my heel didn't slide around at all. As for the short height, I am tall, so I think the height of the boots looked goofy on me. Besides those negatives, they did appear to be sturdy. I wish the faux fur was either more practical or less white. With the midwestern winters I trudge through, I imagine that fur would be tinged gray with muck and slush!

I thought the boots were snug and cozy. I usually wear a 5.5 or 6 in boots. I ordered a size 6 and when I put these boots on, my toe pushed right up against the end. If they had fit, I think they would have been very comfortable and cozy. They seemed to hug my feet in all the right ways, aside from the toe problem. I thought the height of the boot was a bit unflattering for a short person also (I'm 5'3"), but that's not really their fault ;)

I have gotten compliments on these boots, yet I only bought them as work boots. I like everything about them, except that the faux "shearling" liner is mainly for looks rather than comfort or warmth. Good for March/November cold and wet-not warm enough for deep winter...
