I love these boots. I thought I wanted higher ones, but my husband talked me into the lower ones and I am really glad. They are true to size, very comfortable and light. Plus theymake my feet look small which they are not.

These boots are perfect for what I wanted them for, a lightly insulated low boot to wear walking the dogs around town. I wanted something warmer and taller than a shoe that would keep my feet dry and warm but not be too heavy or bulky for town walks in light snow. I have heavy duty cold weather boots already but they are often overkill for a quick mid week after work walk with the pups. If the weather was really nasty then I don't think these would be warm enough but they are great for lighter duty and they look so darn cute and the soles are nice and grippy.
I got the brown plaid (Hawk/Gypsy) color and I really like them. They were comfortable right out of the box. I wear a size 7 in shoes and after reading the reviews I got a size 8. I am glad I did, although a size 7 1/2 might have worked if it would have been available, the 8 leaves room for thicker socks which will increase the warm factor quite a bit. Even with regular socks the 8 is not slipping on my foot. These boots do run narrow, I don't wear a narrow size however my feet are definitely "narrowish". If you have a wide foot these might not work so great.
As always great price and service from Sierra Trading Post!

I bought these boots late summer to prepare for winter. Bought size 8 1/2 from Sorel on sale (brown as shown) but my dog ate one of them, and Sorel didn't have the sale so I found them on Sierra, but they only had whole sizes. I bought the 9. Dumb. They fit true to size. They are warm, waterproof, light enough to walk/light hike. Very comfortable. love them.

As with every other true outdoor company before them (Columbia, North Face, etc.) that used to make quality outdoor products sld in specialty outdoor stores, Sorel is now making quick knockoffs of original classics to sell to the masses now that they have become fashionable. With that said, I purchased these because my previous old reliable Sorels were worn and needed to be replaced. Just like the new North Face products that are selling more than the old original price, these dont feel anything like the old ones. In a way, that's a good thing as they are much lighter than the originals. I ALMOST threw them back in the box and shipped them out the door when I first handled them. But they were so [...] cute that I decided to give them a chance. So after getting the correct size (yes, they run almost a full size small - order bigger) I decided to try them out. At first it bothered me that they didnt feel as heavy and durable as the original ones, but after wearing them several times I started to get used to the not-so-clunky size and now really enjoy wearing them for routine things, not just when a winter boot is necessary. I wore them on a two hour hike this past weekend in 30 degree temps through the forest in Northcentral PA and returned to the car with my feet feeling great. I was pleasantly surprised. And I find myself slipping them on to run to the mailbox, take the garbage out or just because I want something on my feet. Have become my new slippers@ Once they get broken in, which took about 5 wearings, I am really beginning to love them. I wear a size 8 and got a size 8.5 but feel a size 9 (yikes) might fit perfectly with socks. Anyway, I love them and am really glad i kept them. Not sure how they will hold up to deep snow and cold, but at least I will look fashionable when I hop off the snowmobile or out of the truck for a quick beer at the bar.
